Maybelline Stylish Smokes Eyeshadow Quads
Hey guys, I just wanted to do a quick post over these eyeshadows. I purchased the Natural Smokes first and it became part of my everyday makeup. I saw the Charcoal Smokes in CVS the other night and had to get it and I love it just as much!
Retails for around $7
The only negative about the Charcoal Smokes Palette is the black color is not very pigmented. You really have to pack it on to get it to show up.

5 Product Reviews
Review #1 - Hollister Body Mists - $14 Each
Overview: First off, these are some of the favorite things I own right now. I got them on sale 2 for $20. I bought the Malibu Beach and Ventura scents. Malibu Beach has a almond vanilla super sweet smell. The scent reminds me of Exotic Coconut from Bath and Body Works, perfect for spring break and the beach. Ventura is also a sweet scent which mixes cranberry and vanilla. I love, love these scents.
Pros: Scent stays on long, no residue
Cons: Price
Review #2 Revlon PhotoReady Foundation $12
Overview: This is the best liquid foundation I've used, hands down. The thing I hate about buying drugstore makeup is that you can't try it on to match your shade. I used my hand to guess the color I would need in Walmart. This shade matches me perfectly. I had no funky coloring and very smooth blending putting this stuff on. My favorite thing about this foundation is that it has tiny tiny sparkles in it. You can't see the glitters in the bottle but once you get it on your face and get out in the sunlight, it has the prettiest shimmer. The sparkle isn't noticeable unless your up close.
Pros: Easy pump bottle, blends easily, smooth application, good coverage
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Review #3 Physicians Formula Plump Potion Lipgloss $9
Overview: This stuff works really well as far as plumping lips goes. I noticed my lips getting fatter after about a minute and a half. However, this product doesn't KEEP your lips plump.
Pros: plumps lips, pretty shine
Cons: weird smell, doesn't last longer than thirty minutes
Review #4 L'Oreal Double Extend Mascara with Lash Boosting Serum $11
Two Ends
L'Oreal Double Extend vs. Rimmel LashMaxxx
Bare Lashes vs. Double Extend
Overview: I have mixed feelings about this product. It is very simliar to all the other double ended mascaras with the white conditioning formula and black mascara. When applying this, you have to apply the black product without letting the white product dry. If you do, it gets pretty clumpy. I like the white coat because it makes my lashes easier to see to ensure I get all of them. I put the Double Extend on one eye and my old mascara (Rimmel LashMaxxx) and the two seem to work equally well.
Pros: white coat nourishes lashes, easier to see every lash
Cons: price, can get clumpy
Review #5 Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo $5
Overview: I've recently started to wash my hair every other day and decided to buy this product to help with the greasies! Because it was my first time buying a dry shampoo, I can't compare it to any other. I do like this product though. You just spray your hair with it and wait about 5 minutes then brush it out. It leaves a white residue but once you brush it, it goes away. You have to do it several times to get the full effect. It could the amount of grease in my hair by about half and also gave me some volume. I would buy this again.
Pros: Cuts hair grease, gives volume, easy spray bottle
Cons: takes several times to get hair completely "dry shampooed"
Bronzer and PhotoReady Reviews
Revlon PhotoReady Powder $12
Overview: This product goes along with the PhotoReady liquid foundation I reviewed previously. The only thing this powder seemed to do was take away shine. It had no coverage. For twelve bucks, it isn't worth it.
Pros: matte finish, cute package
Cons: no coverage, the product loosens easily and ends up all over the inside, too expensive
Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Veil $14
Overview: Don't buy this product, period. I couldn't even get the bronzer to come out of the brush. I don't know if I'm stupid or what but I played around with this thing for about five minutes and all I figure out was how to put the lid back on and get the powder out. To put the cap back on without messing up the brush, you pull the base up first. There is a dial near the brush where you turn it to choose how much powder comes out. Nothing. I'll be taking the powder out of the bottom and putting it in a different container for sure.
Pros: pretty color
Cons: doesn't work, can't clean brush, seems like my money was spent more on the intricate container than a quality product.
Putty and Orange Nail Polishes
After seeing this article in the People Style Watch March issue, I fell in love and went out and bought this new Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish in Commander in Chic. $8 at Walgreens
This is my favorite color I own right now. It also has a unique flat brush. Here's what thaaat looks like.
If you're not looking to spend eight dollar to get that shade, Rimmels Steel Grey shade looks the same for half the price.
I also purchased this Nicole by OPI Polish in Freshly Squeezed $8 Walmart. The photo doesn't does this nail polish justice. It's more shimmery than it looks.
Glitter Glam Eye Tutorial
Products I Used:
Rimmel Exaggerate Liner in Emerald Sparkle
Maybelline Define-a-Line
L'Oreal Double Extend Mascara w/ Lash Boosting Serum
Hard Candy Lash Tinsel Glitter Mascara in Black
Hard Candy Glitz Stick in Sweet as Pie
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Directions (easy!):
First apply a eye shadow base (I used Too Faced) to your eye lid to help keep the liner on.
Then apply the liner along your lash line and around the outer corner of your eye.
Next you want to apply waterproof black liner to your water lines. Do this by pulling your lips up/down and swipe it on the waterline. You can apply the liner to your bottom lashline if you wish
Now take a glitter stick and run it over the turquoise liner.
Lastly, apply a few coats of a black mascara, then apply a few coats of the glitter mascara.
